Introducing NTA’s Nutritional Therapist Training Program

Tomato

The Nutritional Therapy Association offers an unusual and truly outstanding certification program. I trained with their program in 2007 and it exceeded my expectations in every way. For those of you who may wish to help others on a professional basis or perhaps who simply want to help yourselves and your family obtain better health, this program, based on the philosophy of the nutritional “greats” such as Weston Price and Francis Pottenger, is the most innovative, comprehensive and practical approach offered anywhere. It offers a complete system for evaluating and understanding the individual nutritional needs of ones body and how to address those needs.

Year-round classes begin throughout the United States in September,  but information about their special upcoming Winter program, including an introductory conference call being held on Thursday, January 21, is below.

What is the NTT program all about?

The NTT program is unique because it’s based on a foundational approach to nutrition. We offer specific tools for assessing the body’s nutritional deficiencies and will teach you how to address those weaknesses through diet, supplements and lifestyle changes. In addition to our foundational approach, the NTT program emphasizes three additional perspectives:

  • First is the allegiance to the teachings of such pioneering greats as Dr. Weston A. Price and Dr. Francis A. Pottenger, two of the greatest scientific minds ever to research nutrition, food and its’ effects on modern society. Their work is the basis for NTA’s core belief in properly prepared, nutrient dense whole foods.
  • Second is NTA’s fundamental belief in bio-individuality; our genetic and geographical makeup can determine our unique nutritional needs.
  • Third, we offer a system of evaluative measurements that help identify nutritional weaknesses in the body. Our Functional Evaluation technique allows the Practitioner to address the nutritional needs of their clients, assess their biochemical individuality and make tailored diet and lifestyle recommendations.

Students in the Nutritional Therapist Training Program participate in a rigorous course curriculum that includes anatomy and physiology, basic chemistry concepts, and the science of food and its’ nutritional components.  They also learn how to identify and address imbalances in the body and how to intervene with nutrition for improving overall health and wellness. This course is available to professionals looking to enhance their practice with nutrition as well as those wanting to embark on a new career as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner™.

It sounds fantastic! Your timing is quite uncanny, just yesterday I was looking to see if there was anything similar here in Australia. I believe I’d go absolutely batty sitting through some of the more “politically correct” ones on offer, to merely gain the qualification.
