It's funny- considering whole foods is called 'whole foods' you would think they would be against selling products made with refined and poor quality ingredients. But I guess that shows whose running the company and what they're values really are.

Here in Australia, we had our own version of "Whole Foods" which has now shutdown.
But I'm not sure whether they ever stocked raw milk (it's sold as 'bath milk' here because it's illegal in Australia to buy raw milk).

Though you can buy bath milk in certain health food shops here, except some places seem quite cautious to do so. Because if they get caught for or are thought to be selling it for consumption, rather than for bathing, they can get fined up to $40 k. So some vendors don't bother with selling it. But what people do with the milk in their own homes is their own choice and their own right. You're lucky raw milk is legal in your country. So many people seem to benefit from it, it's a shame it isn't legal here. You would think they would make something damaging to our health illegal, you know like smoking, but instead it's raw milk thats banned.

I work at a health food shop so I get all my fresh fruit, veg and organic meats from there but if I didn't I would definitely go to farmers markets more often (it is always so much cheaper). I've heard of lots of people buying raw milk straight from the farmer though which seems pretty cool.

So true! My MIL is a vegetarian and I can't seem to convince her that fat is good for you. She also has depression and I think she would do better if she got natural B vitamins straight from the source--red meat! :)

This is why we are so unhealthy as a nation...when Whole Paycheck (which I like for some things) tells the world, through their actions, that raw milk is bad, everyone listens to them. Instead of the real research.

No display of Candy at our local (Philadelphia) in a state where it is easier to buy Raw Milk than most places) store but I have really curtailed my shopping there- they never have been friendly to diabetics and they love affair with canola oil was a real turn off. I don't need them anymore. We have a great Farmers Market in Center city for Milk and I buy grass fed beef from a local farmer. whole foods was a major carb pusher for Grainaterians.

Fear the bread- NOT the BUTTER

Mark,

Many of us remember the milkman. Just this week, we found a local milkman on his last day before retirement after 25 years with a local dairy in Connecticut. Al was or is the "beginning of the end" and at the start of a new beginning. ONe that you have envisioned some time ago and one that many raw milk supporters have started a long tome ago. Today, there are a new breed of milkmen emerging to carry on the tradition of "fresh home deliveries of milk and dairy and more." In England, you already have Milk & More." And now Milkmen USA are working to bring to the consumers in various parts of the USA, good fresh milk; raw and others and letting the consumer choose. So, we will have real statistics to work with on the east coast to show the interest and how the service is working. For us, it is amazing to see and hear what you and those like you are achieving on the west coast. There is a burning desire to do what you are doing here. The flames have already caught fire and now there are those, milkmen, who are delivering in a similar fashion as you are. We look forward to meeting with you at The Raw Milk symposium on April 10, 2010 along with David Gumpert and others.

The video is great! Thank you. Emancipation is far greater than dictatorships. And you are a true emancipator.

Thank you.

Charles,

Thank you so very much for speaking some true words in this world of fake everything.

What has been truly amazing has been the last three weeks. Our sales dipped for two weeks and now they are back where they were three weeks ago when we had 55 Wholefoods stores. Our raw milk consumers follow the product not the store. We are now so very glad to announce that we have added at least 15 more stores including 6 Mollie Stones, Genes Fine Foods in Saratoga, and Paradise Natural Food stores in Marin County. The outreach has been awesome!

We loved Wholefoods. They were the green giant and its president Walter Robb was the night in shining Armor when it came to defending raw milk in CA. However, there must be other voices at corporate that drowned out his integrity.

None the less....the local stores came to the rescue and retail sales locations are even better than before with lower price points.

Thanks for putting up the flight video that I shot with Marcy from our plane....it really says it all.

All the best,
